We're completely stoked to announce the return to London of Richmond, Virginia's purveyors of ultimate doom-filth, the mighty COUGH, for the HDP/WPC stage at DesertFest this year.
Cough smashed into worldwide acclaim within doom / sludge circles with the crushing 2008 début album Sigillum Luciferi, followed in 2010 with the fully engulfing psyche-sludge of Ritual Abuse (available on Relapse Records) and a split with the UK's own doom titans The Wounded Kings. Encompassing monolithically pounding, horror-raising, weed-tuned riffs and vocals stylings ranging from classic occult doom to downright demonic, blackened screams of desperation, the band have proven they are a force to be reckoned with both in this realm and beyond.

Riffs laid upon riffs laid upon more killer fucking riffs.. Bongripper have a sound that grabs you by the balls and doesn't fucking let go. Formed in Chicago a little over half a decade ago the 4 piece have embraced the DIY ethic by self-releasing / promoting a wealth of instrumental material at a rate so rapid it'd make almost any band seem lazy in comparison. 2010's Satan Worshiping Doom solidified Bongripper to be a name up there amongst the best and most monolithically heavy bands on the planet. We're super stoked to have them playing on the H_D_P / WPC stage at DesertFest in 2013 encompassing our love for all-engulfing jammed-out heaviness and masterfully atmospheric riff writing combined. Weed be praised, your head WILL bang..!
It is with great pleasure that we officially (and belatedly) announce our involvement with next year's DesertFest London. H_D_P will be co-curating the Underworld stage alongside our South London compadre's When Planet's Collide on Sunday 28th April.
So far we have confirmed 2 killer bands and we have more in the pipeline.
The first announcement comes in the form of Poland's monolithic doom juggernauts BELZEBONG.
Secondly we are proud to host the crushing titans of droney doom-noise CONAN.
Elsewhere the festival as a whole has already announced the legendary doom-lords PENTAGRAM (usa)and the come back of Sweden's stoner n' roll outfits DOZER and LOWRIDER, along with other names such as NAAM (usa), STEAK (uk), ADMIRAL SR CLOUDESLEY SHOVEL (uk), BLACK MAGICIAN (uk), KADAVAR (ger), WO-FAT (usa), PAGAN ALTAR (uk), BLACK MOTH (uk) http://thedesertfest.com/london/

It is with regret we bring the news that 11Paranoias will not be able to make what was due to be their debut show on 10th Novemeber 2012 at the Black Heart, Camden, due to an injury. The band have expressed their utmost frustration at not being able to play and we wish them a speedy recovery.
The good news however is that we can proudly announce their replacement as H A R K (http://harkband.bandcamp.com/). This 3-piece power trio, ft. Jimbob Isaacs (ex-Taint), have been tearing up stages all across the UK and Europe and have also just secured a slot opening for the mighty Pentagram here in London as well. Also added to the bill are Notts based psychy filthsters NADIR (ex-Dead In The Woods), check out a recent live vid here - http://vimeo.com/37973420, and still with us are long going Welsh doomsters SPIDER KITTEN and South London moody sludge trio BAST. So all in all it's stacked up to be a killer show.
